It all started with Andreu Simon and a simple but bold experiment. He took his road shoes, added a trail sole by hand, and set off into the mountains to test an idea. That experiment sparked something bigger — a full-blown process of innovation.
Together, they developed the MetaFujiTrail, ASICS’ first trail shoe with a carbon plate. Simon’s concept turned into a reality. A journey that began in November 2022 and finished at KAI70 race in April 2024, where he crossed the finish line as the champion.
